Nelson the Seal was a regular visitor to Looe harbour for over 25 years. The one eyed grey seal had taken up residence on Looe Island and would often swim over to the harbour to entertain and be entertained by tourists and locals alike. Nelson died in 2003 and in 2007 a bronze sculpture was commissioned. It was created by the Cornish sculptor Suzie Marsh, cast in Bronze and on public display on Pennyland Rocks in Looe Harbour, unveiled on the 28th May by Sir Robin Knox-Johnson.
Suzie has stayed at Custom House and through mutual friends we have got to know her and her work.
